The G29 is a good wheel for anyone interested in driving/racing games. I started with a DFP and then to the G27 and really liked the feels of the wheels themselves. The pedals are fair but get the job done for introducing new players to the racing/driving genre.

edited vendor/manufacturer of wheels out of my second sentence. this site took the manufacturer name and automatically changed it to an amazon link to buy many of the manufacturer items without any notification to this poster? How long has this been going on here?

Thanks for the heads up Bill.

I still think they should be able to make the wheels work with all three systems as there are people that have PC, XBox and PS systems.

I would love to see stats on what percentage of console gamers actually use a full fledged wheel and pedals for the racing games.

Wow, the G29 is so different from my G27... I wouldn't know what to do with it!

I’ve had my G29 now for about 2 years and I have zero complaints. It’s a fantastic wheel.

Panzer, did you buy the separate stick shifter to go with it? If so, what is it like?

I never bought it. I was cheap so I just use the paddle controls on either side of the wheel to shift up and down. smile

I'm sure there's stats on the people who dominate the online races, and they're probably using them.

Of course you'd have to be looking at the more hardcore driving games - if it's not near simulation level the advantage of a wheel over a gamepad starts dropping fast, but I'd still say there's an advantage...

Bought the G29 for half price a few months ago. $250 Cdn. I am very pleased with it. Although it is not perfect. I don't like how all the connections are under the motor. Great for Dirt Rally on PS4 pro.

nice! Nowadays spending what little time I have with Assetto Corsa Competizione (in early access so do not expect much at this time) and some iRacing for multiplayer.

How is F1 2018? Do you have a good sense of FFB with your wheel to tell you what the car is doing? How is the AI? fair and competitive?

The FFB feels really great in F1 2018 but it did require some extensive tweaking and experimenting with the wheel before I finally got the "perfect" feel for me. The default settings made the wheel feel a bit too floppy in my hands (ie not enough resistance).

The AI is improved a bit over 2017 but there are a couple of annoying things like the AI cars apparently being "glued" to the track and the AI cars seldom making mistakes and crashing.

Thanks! I see that F1 2018 is on sale so I may have it give it a shot.
