The Dukes of Hazzard: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078607/The entire series is on Amazon Prime. All I can say after attempting to watch two episodes is that some things should be left to ones youthful memories... Wheels Dukes of Hazzard is pretty much like every other show of that era from the late 70's/early 80's. It has not aged well at all due to the "tongue firmly in cheek" campiness.

The Equalizer 2 wasn't as good as I'd hoped.

The Equalizer 2 wasn't as good as I'd hoped. I haven't seen it but I did see the first Equalizer and enjoyed it for the most part. That final showdown at the hardware store was a bit over the top. lol

Just seen Homefront a no brain action flick with Jason Statham and with Sly Stallone as the screen writer. DEA undercover operative (Statham) retires to get away from the violence and look after his daughter who manages to upset the sister of a local drug dealer and of course the proverbial hits the fan. As an action flick it was ok you didn't need to think about it. Also in the middle of watching another Statham film called Blitz about a heavy handed cop (Statham) trying to track down a serial killer that is killing a series of policemen. only halfway through it but not too bad, Both films popped up on my Netflix.

I think you know what you're going to get with a Statham film.
I really liked Blitz. "This lads is a Hurley, used in the Irish game of Hurley, cross between hockey and murder!"

Can't believe I haven't watched 'Tora! Tora! Tora!" before now. Excellent film, compared to more recent offerings with no 'soppy kissing' (as a little daughter used to say) Almost a documentary account with surprising empathy for the Japanese side, surprising considering the usual portrayal of Axis stereotypes at the time it was produced.

Tora, Tora, Tora is a very unique film in that not only did the film have two directors (one American and one Japanese) but it was made that way by design so that the film would have an objective and in-depth perspective for both sides of the conflict. This is why you noticed the empathy for the Japanese side. A little bit of interesting trivia: Akira Kurosawa was the original Japanese director hired to shoot the Japanese scenes but due to major creative differences with the studio he backed out of the project.

The Cloverfield Paradox
Has anyone seen this Netflix movie? I saw it last night and I now know why the studio dumped this film by selling it to Netflix. This movie was supposed to originally get a theatrical release.
The premise seemed interesting and the movie started off with some interesting mysteries but then when the proverbial crap hit the fan, the movie just devolved into several ridiculous events and the final "reveal" at the end of the film was pretty laughable. It is one of a trilogy of films about Cloverfield, not seen any of them yet, I did try watching the first one but got nowhere with it and have not yet gone back to give it a second try.
