Interesting that a lot of the concepts we cover in the novel Bering Strait - autonomous vs piloted, networked drone swarms etc - are in the Luftwaffe's specs for its next gen fighter!

- 5 Star Review from Anne-Marie Reynolds for Readers’ Favorite.

"Realistic and original. A fast-paced thriller packed with action and suspense."
- Publishers Weekly BookLife

US Navy UCAV (drone) Air Boss Alicia Rodriguez and Lieutenant Karen 'Bunny' O'Hare are stranded on a decommissioned US facility on Little Diomede Island in the Bering Strait when Russia launches a lightning operation to shut down the critical waterway between Alaska and Russia and deny the US navy access. They are alone, dug in deep and trapped behind enemy lines. Surrender? Hell no.

Gold, pure gold. Your stuff was some of the funniest I read on the 'net back then. Wasn't there one where he was in a plane and his eye fell out and he was trying to grab it as it rolled around while the plane was twisting and turning? haha.Even if that didn't actually happen it's still funny lol.

Well deserved mate.

Moved 500 copies so far. 300 at the .99c intro price and 200 as giveaways.

Plan is to generate momentum and get reviews that will help with word of mouth. When you are an Indie publisher with no budget it's a lot like holding a car boot sale - you turn up and just hope for the best!

At 20% that's a whopping $60 for SimHQ support so far, but hey ... from little things big things grow! Paid in the first $50 today smile

Just hit #1 in technothrillers! (In Australia - but hey, against some pretty strong competition from some guy called Dan Brown...)

And the first reviews are in!

Aido
5.0 out of 5 stars
Fast moving military thriller with a heart.
3 November 2018
Format: Kindle EditionVerified Purchase

Pre ordered this based on some blurb on Facebook, and I'm really pleased that I did. Well paced near future military thriller that resonates with authenticity. The multiple perspectives keep it fresh and there's enough techno stuff to keep enthusiasts moist. Highly recommended.

Mr David Norlund

Great read for Clancy fans
6 November 2018
Format: Kindle EditionVerified Purchase

This is a near future scenario with believable use of characters (human and computer.) Nothing is too farfetched to make you feel that this is not a believable scenario. Very well written.

Exciting read

Brilliant well thought out fast paced thriller - read it in one hit staying up to 04:00!

Richard Campan
5.0 out of 5 stars
Action, suspense, technology
November 1, 2018
Format: Paperback

An impossible book to let go, The English vocabulary is accessible to a non-bilingual passionate about aviation and / or technology in general, The characters are deep, the suspense created well and the technology well researched. I am a fan of Clancy, Coonts and others: this is in the same vein. Recommended without reservations.

J. Smit
4.0 out of 5 stars
Fast-paced read; lots of action and technology; politics
November 7, 2018
Format: Kindle Edition

Bering Strait is a very fast-paced technothriller, great for fans of Tom Clancy and the likes. The idea of the Russians wanting to invade Alaska is not new but Tim Slee has a whole new approach. I had a little difficulty with the 'techno' parts because there were so many, sometimes too much to understand and grasp the details of everything that was explained. However, I liked the story line and the characters and I think all in all that Bering Strait is worthy a big public.

Recluse

FInally! A new Smart Aviation/Techno Thriller
November 7, 2018
Format: Kindle Edition

I have been looking for a good Aviation related techno-thriller like the OLD TIME Dale Brown/Stephen Coonts books. I was very happy to see Bering Strait and it handily scratched my itch. Interesting look at the Drone heavy future of aerial combat and frighteningly plausible political scenario.
