Transferred way up north to Cottam on September 8, 1940. Next mission was told I had survived the battle.

The key take-away is that you don't necessarily have to fly until the end of the battle to survive. I was quite surprised to be officially 'retired' when our squadron was pulled from front line service.

I was glad that WOTR retired me, as I was worried my pilot would be flying months of 'no action' flights after our transfer up to Northern England. A nice touch to the sim!
