Nothing but colon! And the stuff they put me out with - it was that Michael Jackson stuff. Ask for it by name. Propofol. I literally felt it reach my head and then I woke up after the procedure. The doc even gave me a set of still shots of my colon. They told me it was really clean and I said that's because I brush every day. smile

By the way, before I went under I told them to be on the lookout for a gerbil that answers to "Roscoe." When I woke up, the first thing the doc said was, "Roscoe is okay." What a good doc! smile

Just be glad the doctor didn't tell you the gerbil tested positive for rabies.

Anyway, good news.

Yep, for me it was like someone closed Venetian blinds, I was watching as they were administering the white stuff and just as I felt it Bam, lights out. They told me it took a lot to put me out.

Great news, letterboy1! thumbsup

My colonoscopy last Oct. was the first time I've been put completely under since having my tonsils removed as an infant. I don't know what they put in my IV, the Doc hit a button or whatever while having me count to 10. They said I made it to 3 and I was out (just that fast). Next thing I remember was waking up in the little partitioned area where I started.

Now that I've had the experience, I'll have no problem getting another one in 5 years. I assume they gave you 10 since nothing was found? I was told that a couple of my polyps would have been reason for concern had I procrastinated (I didn't get a estimated timeline).

I think they should change the age from 50 to 40 for most people. Up until 40 my diet was horrible (mostly fried and/or fast food, pizza delivery, Chinese buffet and takeout, and large reserves of whatever soda was on sale at Publix that week [Diet Dr. Pepper, Diet Coke or regular Dr. Pepper]). If I wasn't watching TV during the evening for hours on end, I was playing on my PC. Although I did a 180 lifestyle at 41, I would have had much better piece of mind having a colonoscopy at that time.

Yes, unless something changes in the meantime.

Roscoe probably nibbled away at the suspected polyps.

Careful, in this day and age people might take that as sound medical advice. That's how you get people eating Tide pods.

Lol and glad it turned out good!

That Farrow bloke you executed today, are you sure he's dead?
Well I chopped his head off, that usually does the trick.
Yes, don't get clever with me Baldrick. I just thought you might have lopped off a leg or something by mistake.
No, the thing I chopped off had a nose.

His name is Roscoe Paulson. He is buried in the back of the Paper Street house.
