I am specifically wanting to get something for my XBox One controller - I know they make kits specifically for that, but I'm open to just getting a standard rechargeable AA battery kit if you think it is just as good or better.
The issue is not p*ssy. The issue is monkey.

Energizer Stand for XBOX $21 at Target https://www.target.com/p/energizer-...ew0uEAQYASABEgJdEfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.dsI have used this for over a year, and the batteries stay charged for hours of play. I used a controller for about 4 hours last Saturday (rain!) and it didn't even get below 50% Charger lights Red for charging, Green for charged.

I got this one for my mom. It was a couple years ago so there might be an even newer on. If you check out the comments there's a guy by the handle "NLEE the Engineer" who does REALLY in depth reviews and recommendations. His is the first comment when I look at it but your mileage may vary and I'm sure he's got newer reviews elsewhere: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JL3XL2G/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have a La Crosse one, not sure of the model, and it's worked fairly well for me but the "Mode" button doesn't work well anymore and it sometimes can't recharge a battery unless I start it off in a cheap charger to get enough in it to register with this charger. Also from the comments at the model I looked at it sounds like quality control might be an issue. As for batteries I've been going with Eneloop batteries by Panasonic. I have some Panasonic rechargeable batteries that I bought over 20 years ago that are still working just fine (though I've probably used the "Refresh" mode of my charger on them at least once) while some of my batteries less than half that age can't keep a charge. So far the Eneloop's seem to be following their older siblings footsteps but I've only had them a few years. Elf

Eneloop makes the best batteries. They are especially good for things that you don't use too often since they hold a charge for a long time. I use them for my Nikon flashes.

Eneloops are made in Japan and China. Most think the Japanese ones are better.

Eneloop makes the best batteries. They are especially good for things that you don't use too often since they hold a charge for a long time. I use them for my Nikon flashes. Seconded. I will never buy another brand again. I have a set that's ten years old, that has seen CONTINUOUS use over that period, and both in low and high discharge applications - I rotate the cells so each one gets some of both usage. I also have a set of AAA's that tend to sit around a lot - the low self discharge is really awesome. I believe it was 80% charge retained after 3 years in storage. I also just bought another set of AA's with higher capacity, but more self discharge - these ones claim 85% retention after one year, but they don't make any claim beyond that. I decided to retire the old set just on safety grounds - ten years, countless cycles, hey I got my money's worth out of them to the extreme. No point in risking a fire while charging.
