Thank you sir for finding USS Indianapolis and many other WWII vessels of historical importance as well as your efforts in restoring and preserving aircraft and vehicles of WWII.

Only in relative terms. Given that he expected to die in the mid 1980s already (the reason why he dropped out of Microsoft and still became a bazillionaire), I think he had a good run, all factors considered.

RIP

It's interesting how that happens when you have two co-founders of a famous company but only one becomes a household name while the other one is really only known among business insiders and hardcore techies.

It happened to both Microsoft and Apple.

Interesting life...

...and kinda cool (not what I'd expect from an early computer geek)...

"Allen received his first electric guitar at the age of sixteen, and was inspired to play it by listening to Jimi Hendrix."

The rusty wire that holds the cork that keeps the anger in
Gives way and suddenly it’s day again
The sun is in the east
Even though the day is done
Two suns in the sunset, hmph
Could be the human race is run
