That looks better than my Red Thunder, that's for sure. Thanks for the video, and welcome to SimHQ.
Personally I rarely watch from that level though, almost always much higher. So while I appreciate mods that make the units look better, more detailed -- for me it's not important really. Same with Total War, folks talk about armor textures and weapons and blood and all but I'm never zoomed in enough to see that stuff. In Combat Mission I use a lot of Aris' mods, like terrain and vehicles. Perhaps I'll look again to see what new stuff is out there. Thanks for the post.
No, now go away or I shall taunt you a second time!

Yes, that looks really nice. I think there are new shaders applied, not only textures. I can really appreciate other players work for doing new textures and audio but i was never a fan of the super authentic and dirty look of CM. I prefer the stock textures when it comes to terrain. Sometimes i get new textures for some vehicles.
My must have mods are the Juju's UI, Waclaw's sound mod, Cat's NATO icons and Bill's markers. That's it.

I play with "movie mode" on (I almost always use Barbarico's CMBN shaders... they work for all the version 3 & beyond CM games) & use reshade to simply add a bit of colour (vibrance effect) & turn some Anti-aliasing back on (I have that toggled as Shift+F1... but it's always on)... even from above this make's the whole battlefield look more "moody" & has virtually zero effect on your fps.
However, I tend to watch the action with the improved reshade effects (sharpening, a bloom, some ambient light, more anti-aliasing... a border)... this not only makes CM look sometimes photorealistic from above (say for your initial viewing) but it also allows you to get down to a "grunts eye view" & see some pretty pleasing visuals.
Currently my viewing effects are toggled as Shift+B... but I intend to just switch them to a single keystroke ("pause break" perhaps).
This is my latest CMSF2 Demo video (you may notice a "Night-vision mode" I've been experimenting with)...

Yes, as you've learned, Alt+M turns on the "movie mode".
This accentuates the shadows & washes out the colour (an obvious homage to the Band of Brothers/Saving Private Ryan style of war visuals)... unfortunately it also turns anti-aliasing off.
Modders like Barbarico have improved the "movie mode" further & then you can use Reshade to turn anti-aliasing back on.

Hi Sir37mm,
Thanks for the reply. Yeah I did notice it turns off the anti-aliasing, which makes it look worst me thinks. I did try "War Movie Advnaced v.1.1.1 by Barbarico" but still AA off, no big deal for me as I don´t think I´ll be using the movie mode any way, and dont want to go through Reshade mod either. Unit mods are fine with me as they did miss some camos ect. but the rest I can live without.
Thanks for the tip.
