When I go looking for CH profiles I see a lot of old ones that were posted 2,3, 5 years ago or longer. Almost all incorporate view keys assign to a hat switch. With the advent of an popularity of the Oculus Rift and other VR devices why are CH profiles that take this into account so few?

View keys are still assignable in-game. The view keys that are in a Command File (.cmc) are there to be assigned, but not necessary to assign. Have you tried building your own profile, not assigning any view keys? Building a .cmc, from scratch...?

I generally just assign keys in game rather than use profiles. But I often feel that I may be missing out on the full potential of my CH HOTAS by not using profiles, plus some sims require so much effort into getting them set up (ahem, DCS) that if I could find a good profile that might be simpler. I guess I need to get out the "CH for Dummies" manual and just try to learn it.
