Because i am not updating my PC to handle 2.5, I have chosen to stay with version 1.5.8 and still do a lot of DCS flying. It would be helpful to have a thread devoted only to those like myself flying and enjoying DCS version 1.5.8.

I will start:
Today I was flying the Spitfire and saw that they have added the pilot's image to the mirror. I was not even aware that the mirror was working............though really not working with pilot's face there.
Can the pilot's face be removed so that the mirror can be made useful.

Thanks,
BadBud

In all honesty, If I get back into it more than the occasional dabble, that's what I plan to do.

I'm on the same page as you.
I only have DCS 1.5.8 installed on my rig and honestly never tried 2.5

When I read that DCS 2.5 has this ridiculous minimum RAM memory requirement of 16GB - and my system has 8GB which is enough for 99.999999% of all other games and sims - I just feel that 2.5 is not worth of even a second of my time!

Ya I fly open beta with 8 Gbs and it's just not quite enough, though generally I do find it is adequate. Pauses do happen but this seems to be improving with updates and I'm generally satisfied with performance
