I don't have time for simming anymore so I'm clearing out the hangar.

I have a bullet proof joystick and base built by BAUR. Werknummer 0027. It's an early model which eventually stopped working when Windows monkeyed with its driver protocols. I purchased the new electronics to make it compatible with the latest versions of Windows. I never got around to calibrating it.

This will take a bit of technical savvy through a downloadable software utility called JoyCtrl. I also have a copy I can send the buyer. Please note the two momentary buttons on the base are not presently connected. I would not recommend taking on this stick if you are a novice simmer. You need be comfortable with wiring and fiddling with Hall style magnets. Calibration is saved to the hardware kernel so your button assignments won't disappear.

The stick is in great nick. The only mods I've made are to remove the BRD logo tag and I tapped some M6 holes into the baseplate to mount it in my simrig.

Comes with extra springs and cam sets. Also have extra plexi side pieces for the control base. The top and bottom of the base are steel.

Baur, I want to recognize publicly, is a patient fellow and always supports his products. His service is as robust as his work.

Asking 222 euro.

Shipping in Europe ranges from 20e to 30e.
Shipping to North America about 42e.
Device weights 2.5 kilos. Exact mailing costs only. No gouging on postage.

Any questions, please ask.

Payment via Paypal or bank transfer.

Am interested and not afraid to tackle any issues....Is this suitable to use as a floor mounted stick....and what is the overall height of the unit?

Thanks
Kelly

Kelly,

the joystick is 48cm high, about 19in for you. At that height it is too short to be placed on the floor and used from a standard office chair.

However, I have seen many solutions off-the-shelf and DIY. The joystick can be placed on a pedestal or hung from the edge of a desk such as Monstertech http://www.monstertech.de/en/ or Virpil https://virpil-controls.eu/vpc-desk-mount.html. I had mine mounted on the arm of an old photo enlarger. The baseplate could be raised and lowered as needed.

It could be mounted on a pedestal or possibly have a longer extension installed for my pit. The P-51's stick is just short or 21 in from floor to top of grip so it wouldnt require much modification. I am interested but need to clear it with the "head of purchasing' before committing. Will get back to you very soon.

Very important to clear any purchases with "the Boss." ; ). They keep us grounded, as it were.
