Woolfman probably used a repainted land tile to represent the island and surrounding water. In those days we had no means of putting ground objects on water tiles. In the original Midway scenarion the carriers stood on land tiles repainted to look like water tiles.

It simply needs the repainted tile to be identified (looks like BNRoad4) and replaced with a proper part land/part water tile.

Thats what I see in the game and it is not a problem.
I replaced the ones with the Jap carriers located on them with water tiles.

My real concern is where the straight edges of some land tiles meet the sea. There are several places where this occurs.

I tested the torpedo code with an attack on the Kaga in my brother's Avenger

The torpedo is armed:

Rear view after release:

My torpedo hit but there was no damage

Watching my AIs with F9:

One destroyer destroyed (immediately below the plane) by a torpedo, and another is about to be smile

The torpedo code is working well smile

I rearranged the Japanese carriers because previously they were so close that you could not select them easily on the single mission target map

[Linked Image]

Mike it was my three islands theatre. FWIW because there are so few active targets and bases there is not a lot you can do with the Pearl Harbour theatre in 160.

wink Jel

OK, I didn't remember the correct author, hence the (?), but that is understood. Still, very interesting.
