Fun aside, it's a documentary, afaik 2 parts of about 50 minutes.
I remember years ago seeing the Trafalgar documentary of that company, was good and looked good back then(5 years ago I think).
Hopefully the substance will be as good as the visual impression is.

The Aces War. Amazon Prime.

I saw the first trailer for this some time ago. I've been recently wondering what became of it. It looks like it's only available on Amazon Prime, which I can no longer afford since they raised their prices once again. On the Amazon ratings a couple of people say it's not that good, but from what I've seen so far I'd still like a copy.

I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be Nungesser in the room with bars. He had been grounded for insubordination, but took a plane anyway, and shot down a German. He was arrested and jailed for eight days, the released and given a medal.

They had Boelcke dying from friendly fire.

And they have Albatross D IIIs and SPAD VIIs rolling like FW 190s.

Also, the Albatrosses have DII wings, but DIII V-spars.

We saw this in a earlier topic also in this forum and like then, still like to know if our French members can check if this will be availible on DVD in English, German or Dutch subtittles. Guess they will have more info and I would like to buy this if being posible.

There is an english version made for Amazon Prime, as seen earlier in this topic, but I found nothing about a boxed version.

Watch this last night via Amazon Prime.
Although some of the facts had a bit of 'poetic license' applied, it wasn't too bad to watch.
I thought the GCI was very much like I was playing a flight sim, especially the CGI/live acting merges.
