Lovely photos!
I love the bare aluminum finish. I've seen the Collings Nine o' Nine several times in its olive drab paint scheme, but that bare metal finish seems more true to operational planes of the period. Just my opinion.

wasn't to start with! then they couldn't be bothered/couldn't afford to buy paint. Also why bother with camo when you have near total air supremacy! wink
