Nice screenshots. Wheels Quite impressive visuals for a base game of that age.
I wonder - did these guys get a hold of the source code, or is this all within the modding possibilities that Microsoft provided? Cheers Wheels. Appreciated Not sure Colonel..id say the modding possibility ,these guys seemingly know the code inside out. The visuals are excellent,so are the sounds but the Ai and campaign are something else even this early in WOTR phase 1 release. I think they've probably got well over 10 years of experience working on the CFS3 code...I remember seeing Winding Mans name on the ETO mod. (Not sure if Pol,s was there) and of course their work on OFF then WOFF pal.

I wonder - did these guys get a hold of the source code, or is this all within the modding possibilities that Microsoft provided? Oddly enough, textures and models are mostly within the original CFS3 capabilities. Microsoft managed to make a very robust engine back then. It can be pushed beyond what was imaginable in 2002, although to be fair, it isn't optimized for this kind of stuff. Improved lighting, shadows, reflections etc are implemented as a dll which attaches itself to CFS3, intercepts what its old engine renders and enhances the rendering as needed. The CFS3 doesn't even "know" about it, remove this dll and the game will work, but without modernized effects. This isn't something unique, this approach was initially inspired by Morrowind Graphics Extender tool (and there are similar tools for Oblivion and Skyrim).

Adger, thanks! Сloud rendering is almost the same as in WOFF. There's one minor tweak in the code, but I'm not even sure it helps much. Maybe you are just lucky Maybe so Ankor. It certainly seems as though I see less "flicker" when passing inside them. Again thanks for your continued work. It's massively appreciated not just by me but probably by most people that play OBD,S sims.

Nice Adger. I am waiting until after the 10th of October to buy WOTR. I charged a bit of last months vacation traveling expenses on my card and want that paid up before I charge anything else. I can't wait to try it out. Is that a new skin? S!Blade<><
