That sounds like a great idea JJJ65, but I suspect it might be a bit early in the development cycle as they are just now in first release. They may give you an entry point but ask for you to hold off on release for some time.
Just my personal thoughts so I could be wrong.

I fully agree with you JJJ65 about the value of the mission editor. I am sure they will give you access but there must be a reason they didn't contact you and do it right from the start. Maybe everything is not ready yet. Hopefully I am wrong and they will see this thread and say yes to you.

To be clear I do not ask for any agreement to release Mission Editor or for any access to WOTR code/data. I am asking just for pause in WOTR execution that will enable to start and run Mission Editor (the same as WOFF UE Workshop settings "3rd party Mission Editor"). I understand. Have you sent off a request to support? That may be the thing to do just in case they don't see this thread.

It's pretty early days to be tinkering under the hood. We already had one patch as well. I'm guessing that it would be better to wait for things to settle down in case any early patches would break something like a Mission Editor. It also makes things simpler for new users and probably causes less headaches for support at this point
Let's pretend I got the BWOC badge to embed here.

It also makes things simpler for new users and probably causes less headaches for support at this point I hear you and can't disagree Ace, but it wouldn't hurt for the devs to put the entry point into the code to allow JJJ65 to build and test and maybe hold off on releasing it to the general public until the devs agree. Best Regards

Looks great! Can you also allocate skins to your flights aircraft? At the moment we can choose a custom skin in game, but every plane in the flight then has the same skin, it would be good to have the option to give them individual skins. Hopefully the skin guru's out there can begin producing many skins as per WoFF

Well I'm amazed, I thought it would be quite some time before we saw any action on this front. (I should have known better)

Is it possible to use a different base map perhaps, i.e. Filter out the modern road network Yes, but no better (HiRes) map available :-(.

First release of WOTR Mission Editor v1.3 - download here for testing purposes. Controls remain the same as WOFF UE Mission Editor (manual for WOFF UE Mission Editor here ). Enjoy!
