Or just pull up your gear and belly it in. What really impresses me is the ballistics, in WoFF too. No magical hitboxes for vital components that exceed physical reality. If you want to get a good, clean kill then you really have to work for it like the old timers did.

Done that, but the aircraft seems to continue endlessly as if it's on skids, lol! Still went all the way down the runway until it hit a wire fence and disintegrated...

Just make sure your approach speed is at minimum (almost stall), before setting down and you won't skid so far. In my vid I was coming in way too fast and fighting to keep level because of the shot off wing tip.

The key to this is to reduce your airspeed (watch the airspeed indicator in the vid) to almost stall rate while cruising just above the water and keep your nose up slightly. With this technique I can consistently ditch and survive.
