Hi chaps... can anyone remember how to get smooth zoom functionality... I'm assuming it's the same as WoFF but I have forgotten how to do it... banghead

Top of my head,do we change the setting from zero to 2 in advanced key settings zoom in/out Trooper?

The newly posted Key Guide say they are [ ] keys one zooms in and one zooms out. I have them set to a hat switch on my joystick.

Yes mate, I have them correctly mapped... but if this is like WoFF, you can alter one of the configs to give you a better, smoother zoom in...

Does anything in the OBDSoftware\WOTR\WOTRScenery\shadersDX9 help Trooper ?

There,s some zoom settings in the d3d8.ini file

I think its these that can be changed regarding zoom etc

; Controls zoom increment/decrement steps. Valid values from 1 to 50 - 20 is the default value for WOFF.
ZoomInStep=20
ZoomOutStep=20

; Smooth zoom speed. Zoom still changes step-wise, but transition between steps is smooth. Range of values 0 to 10. Set to 0 to disable smooth zoom.
ZoomSpeed=5


I just changed the top 2 from 20 to 40 and the zoom speed from 5 to 8 ..they were very fast (too fast) for my liking Im going to try 27 zoomin\out and zoomspeed7 but i think its them 2 that can be changed. Best of luck pal

Yep... been trying them out, you were right about the file. That is exactly what I was looking for smile
