Some bindings won't work - it doesn't recognize a controller with more than 8 buttons for some reason? Can't use the trigger on my Gladiator (button 14), pedals to

Followed the FAQ and the forum post guide provided.

Unbind all controllers > set the desired bindings > save > and exit the controllers window (I do not use external joystick software). Still no luck.

The binding software is pretty much the same as WOFF, except you can now bind a few more axis.

Do any buttons above 8 on your stick move /respond in the bindings program?

They all respond in the bindings program, and it adds it to the list of bound keys, but when I save and close the program and try launching either campaign or quick mission, they don't function.

Apologies for initially posting in the wrong area.

Hi Tuesday,

On the right under "Select Controller" you choose the rudder pedals.

Then you choose the axis under the "Current Bindings" such as "Axis rudder" , then unbind, then go to the Bind to Axis list and choose the Yaw whatever from that list, the Re Assign bindig comes up and you move that axis on the pedals?
Then click "bind". Then Save.

Then you got the WOTRKEYs little box come up message popping up, confirming you want to save? You reply yes and it confirms saved.?

?

Also can you send logs from WOTR\Logs folder to support please.

I have the same issue in WOFF with my Javelin (Gladiator clone). I unbind all default buttons, bind the desired functions to the Javelin and the only thing that happens in-game is that "Fire" is working, but with another button than the fire button. The Javelin works in ROF, IL2/46, IL2BOS, Strike Fighters2 and FSX.

Have you tried loading the control software for the stick?

The Javelin has no control software because it's not programmable...button definitions are fixed.

Then it seems currently all the buttons on that stick are not fully supported. It's possible at some point we can look at adding support but no promises at the moment.

That is correct; even went back and did it again after unplugging/re-plugging the throttle/pedals/joystick to see if that helped. The joystick and throttle axis work, but the rudder pedals do not, and the trigger on the joystick does not work either.

Will send the logs to that address now. Thanks for taking the time to respond here.

OBD solved this issue by removing a stray space found in the .xca file naming the VKB Gladiator.

Impressed by the quick response and help!

Great finding ! I got my Ravcore Javelin working also now in WOFF by removing the trailing " " in the Woffkeys.xca. If I want to re-configure anything, I have to add the " " back temporarily while using the WOFFKeys tool. Should probably work in WOTR as well.

The next patch will have a new WOTRKeys tool that will auto remove that space for you. The space is provided to windows by the joystick when it queries it, and WOTR Function Binding tool (WOTRKeys.exe) also correctly sees it. Runtime doesn't seem to like it.
Anyway for the moment manually remove the space at the end (do not remove the ").
