I like it so far, but I only had an hour with it. Just like the original, they try a little too hard on the story. I just want to go in and shoot stuff up.
The graphics are not as fancy as I anticipated. The Screenshots gave the impression of this crisp neon look with a more post-processing type 'adaptive' blur but it seems more like they're using blurred textures in some places so the effect is too strong when zoomed in. Not an issue but not quite what I expected.
I did get one crash (and I've seen others reported) so there do seem to be stability issues for the moment.
Great sequel though and the whole city concept should be a lot of fun. I only ever played random quick battles in FS and this gives you the same quick and casual access to a game but with a bit more context and depth.

Thank you very much for your thoughts so far @Amaroq!
Yes I saw the price at GOG which is alot better (€25), and DRM free which I do prefer.
With regards to graphics, it just might be a design decision for PC loading performance on lower end PC´s, which I fully understand. I think some people did complain on perfomance with FS Prime, so this time around they kind of thought ahead first. We somtimes forget that there´s still alot of folks on lower end laptops playing games. Story wise, well there´s alot of people looking for that in games now day´s. A good story driven game is a must for some, so again, I understand there decision here too.
Iam sure there´s still some bug fixes and tweaking to be done, but Iam so happy it´s a complete release and not another EA game. Kudos to "Mode 7" on that, and confident that they will fix issues ASAP.
Now the hard part... decisions decisions! I just started playing FS Prime! Gonna give myself a couple of days and watch more videos, but if it´s not this month, for sure next month.
Again, thanks!

Are you enjoying prime? It was too geared towards console/controllers for me, I never got into it. The visuals were fun but it takes so many extra clicks to get your guys to do what you want (plus having to switch modes from 'preview' to plan for example). I enjoy it on my phone and tablet though, the original FS practically requires a stylus to use accurately.
As for FS2, I still don't 'get' the city part of the game. I've cleared a buiding, I attacked another faction and secured one of their buildings, but nothing seems to really happen. I probably need to let the game run on a bit longer to see what all that entails... I only have an hour or so total and maybe half an hour on the city game. There's a lot there though that I haven't used yet. Economics ect.
