That was awesome! Any significance to the different number plates? You had black background white numbers and your brother had the reverse. Only people who ride know how taxing that must of been...especially on a soupy track.

AMA sanctioned races followed the Pro AMA standard background color.
Black=125cc
White=250cc
Yellow=500cc

Ponca City, OK was an NMA track they assigned color lvl to experience lvl

Black=Novice
yellow=intermediate
Whie=Expert\pro

Lorretta Lynn's (AMA amateur championship)
had the same color scheme as Ponca

At the district lvl it was a fusterCluck as not many bothered to enforce the background color rules, hence the different color combos.

Our club frowns on the wrong plate color for local races...but let's it slide mostly. They do get strict on the 5 National events per season...wrong plate and chapter letter will get you docked a lap in every moto til you get it fixed.
