Pretty boring start eh wot?

Is this the expansion that followed on from Wings over Flanders? So it's based on the old CFS engine?

Interested to see what the combat and gameplay is like. Of course, the graphics in the new sims like IL2 BOS are nicer but the AI sucks. As I recall, WOFF had pretty decent AI.

Heinkill: Yes, its Wings Over the Reich. It is based on the CFS engine. for example, the A/C controls are the same as in CFS and the start up panels , Interface, are WOFF like. The graphics are BoB II like.but brighter with added details For example, BoB II Tanmere AF and WOTR Tangmere U can spot the difference easy. So far, I dont see the massive formations of Heinkills escorted by 109's as in BoB II. COMBAT : ( Quick combat ) What I do see is a AI that can be a Cut Throat player ! U have to watch the fighters. or its curtains !, The 109's seem to hang up there then boom and zoom The 110's ? Bombers ? Clean and bright Graphics, a very playable game backed by OBD. An affordable priced game. Flack is an eye candy very well done. A/c Models seem good but not as detailed as Cliffs of Dover.. Another thing that I like is that there is room for expansion. The current game has space to flesh it out as in other a/c and custom details. Then continue on to other WWII events, Fighter Sweeps over France Spits V and FW 190's. P 47's on Fighter bomber Raids. Fighter Escort to Berlin or Tiffies in France with the D-Day invasion. Ect. No steep learning curve as in CoD and others. The only down side so far are: I do like more detail as in Cliffs of Dover and if doing Very close, close ups the pilot seems a little Tall for the Hurricane Scale ? Of course, I could name him Too Tall or maybe say something about the Seat Adjuster is stuck However, back away a little and the scale looks fine or is it me ? . The 109 is a little too clean looking for my imagination of a machine that fought through France from grass airfields , but thats just me. Bottom Line The game is playable and affordable. Additionally, The game plays well and I am having fun.

Heinkill: I would value ur opinion on these model graphics. What ya think ? The Hurricane is 145 Sqn and The 109 is I Gruppe JG3.

slightly dated, but not bad at all, these screenshots.

Now there are never screenshots of the minimap. I wonder what it looks like.

Some good cockpits shots could be a selling point too.

Be much better once they release templates so some skinners can get stuck into it. The 109 skin looks fairly terrible tbh and the game (graphically) overall looks fairly dated compared to current gen. I'm holding off a bit longer to see how it all goes, i do want to dive in but my last three game purchases have all had between 10-15 hours before i got bored at the lack of game play and needed fixes..i don't need another game sitting around doing nothing:)
