Make sure you celebrate by doing something aviation related.
Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.

"Experience the Thrill of Watching the Blue Angels and the F-22 Raptor Perform at Our Air Show" I have yet to see an F-22 or F-35 airshow performance, or even on display. Wish I was there.

I flew London Heathrow ~ Hong Kong last night without buying anything while lost and bored in the duty free zone. That's hardcore aviation in my book.

There you go. I flew back from Vero Beach in my Cardinal. Flew over Saturday with the wife to go to the UDT/SEAL museum at Fort Pierce. Very well done museum. I learned some new things. I didn’t know that Fort Pierce was where they did the UDT training for Normandy invasion. They built obstacles like the Germans had and then trained on how to eliminate them. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Navy_UDT-SEAL_Museum Then we went north to Sebastian to the McLarty Treasure museum. I did not know the story of the 1715 Spanish treasure fleet that was wrecked there. All ten of the Spanish ships were destroyed by a hurricane. They were carrying a vast treasure headed for Spain. I live in the part of Florida known as the Nature Coast because we don’t have many beaches but do have a lot of natural wetlands, estuaries, and rivers. There is a part of the east coast on the Atlantic known as the Treasure Coast. I never gave that name any thought. But after going to the museum I now know why. Treasure still washes ashore from that 1715 fleet. Very interesting story of the wreck and survivors camp. Then the attempted recovery of the treasure. The beginnings of the Pirates heyday. They are still diving and bringing up millions of the treasure every year. Half of the fleet is still unaccounted for. The most important part of the treasure still hasn’t been found. http://digitalcollections.fiu.edu/tequesta/files/1966/66_1_02.pdf

Still, some doubloons and artifacts turn up on the beaches around Tobermory and around the sandy bays in Morar.
