RIP
An amazing talent and yes, she was great in the diner scene in "Blues Brothers".

RIP. Same thoughts on "Blues Brothers". Been a long time since I've listened to the soundtrack CD, loading now.

I have the BB soundtrack as well. I think my favorite track is “Minnie the Moocher” by Cab Calloway.

Incredible talent and incredibly influencial. What stands out for me was back a few years she stood in for Pavarotti in a pinch at the Grammys. It was a shocker to see how versatile she was. All of that great original music, but she had this in her repetoire too and had become a friend of his, performing this one from time to time.
'RESPECT' is due. First genuine soul singer to open our ears to the real Soul rather than the pop confection of such as the Supremes over here in England.

That album is a great one. Btw, if you like Cab Calloway, you should also enjoy Joe Jackson's 'Jumpin Jive' album. It was recorded as a tribute to his father who was a major Cab Calloway fan.
