I just spoke to him. He has outlasted the prognosis.
He is a very proud and private man and I respect his outlook. As part of that, I can’t say anything more. It is his choice as to what he wants everyone to know.
Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.

I miss you man.
You were there a couple of times when I went off the rails and I appreciated that so much. We had some great public discussions, and some private ones also. I think we have a serious connection from being from two sides of the same coin. You and I understood and respected each other, even though our lifestyles differed so very much at times...doesn't matter.

Spoke to Murphy today, Tuesday Aug 7, and he was having a relatively good day. He has his ups and downs.

Everyone has his or her own feelings about coping with life's "ups and downs" and I respect Murphy's decision but I'm going to throw this out here for what it is worth: in my battle with cancer last year coming here and reading encouraging words from you people was a tremendous help to me.
