A couple of examples of people asking for help to run EAW, to which others replied, some with advice, and some asking for a little more information.
At the time of writing there has been no response from the people who made the original post.

Maybe it is just a problem with the user's PC, but when people take the time to respond thoughtfully to these questions it gets a bit annoying.
This is not the first time that we have encountered this type of thing frown

I agree that it seems annoying, but nothing can be done about it. No telling the cause, and there some "forgivable" excuses. For example, I had an internet acquaintance to whom I replied, to no avail. Turns out that he was killed in a motorcycle accident--not his fault, either.

Reasonable people are entitled to think that a return visit, with a "Thank You" is in order, but this sometimes does not happen, unfortunately. I understand your perspective on the matter.

While some requests for help are unique, most run in a similar vein. I would suggest that those that are in a position to offer, or be asked for help, construct a "one-click" generic reply that would address the most common issues, along with a link to the EAW Help Site. Doing so would solve most questions simply and easily, and reduce the annoyance that some reasonable people might feel. Not to mention being a time-saver for yourselves.

If the poster returns for further help, then perhaps more specific replies can be made.

I use to post all the relevant links and info guessing at what they have or need, now I won't do that anymore

I'd didn't bother posting to the latest as VBH posted my site link and Jel asked the major question on system specs. Plus the guy only had 2 post to his unusual long screen name.
