Eleven Fulcrums lol. baby it's hot tonight!

I'll say Korea Strong, that's too many for Instant Action I'd reckon.

Then again, there are no friendlies anywhere, so Instant Action haha.

No, now go away or I shall taunt you a second time!

I guess there wasn't a Patriot battery at the base to help you out...

If that's Iron Fortress the Patriot at Taegu was probably taken out on the first few hours lol smile

And it has to be Iron Fortress with that many MiGs about. Well, that many MiGs and no Blue at all, aside from our man Axe that is From his report it seems the MiGs corrected that situation in short order biggrin

I'll need to check the staus on it. Who's to say they didn't kill 200 29's anyway? skyisfalling

40 or so must have escaped the Patriot, and just when I had them cornered, they got me.

Yeah D, LOL, they wasn't going to put up with my crap, that's for sure!

I checked their status, the AD battalion is 66%, but the Patriot is 'no damage'

So it's just like we thought.

They got 200 out of 240, 29's,..... plus or minus.....pretty good thumbsup

Thanks mdwa cheers

What is your current area of interest/training?

Mine is setting up the rest of my Cougar MFD's, which should happen today or tomorrow.
And this Korea Strong/IF campaign I'm doing somewhat.

regards.

Hi Axe,

Last night I learnt how to boresight the mavericks... and how to set up auto power on at steerpoints.

Still updating my Warthog profile as I go along doing training. I'm using my own TARGET profile. I set up the idle cutoff so I can start and shutdown with the throttle (ie not using the idle cutoff patch).
Tonight I need to:
Adjust the sensitivity of my sensor cursor - it's too fast at the moment
Assign missile step button
Assign uncage button
Assign range increase/decrease knob for zooming TGP
Assign FOV toggle button

Falcon is not the easiest to set up controls in.

Getting pretty good at landings, been practicing visual, ILS approaches etc and Nav - tacan, steerpoints, adjusting time, Autopilot etc. I've set up my DTC with several freqs and all my preferred MFD pages.
Still need to master the TGP... and I still need to work out the radios properly.
Tonight I plan to do a bit more Maverick training and then maybe move into a few CCIP and CCRP unguided runs.

I've set up a simple training TE at Kotar Range that I adjust.

Good luck with the MFDs... make sure you have the eject button... wink I haven't used any MFDs - do they have a screen behind them or are they just the buttons?

Wow, I don't know how I knew it, but I knew you were digesting Falcon and would have a very interesting response to my question. Awesome. salute

I think that Cougar MFD's would help with assigning buttons for you too.

You go into setup>controllers, find the mapping you want, highlight it's key, and then press the MFD
button you want to use. Fantastic. The first 2 that you buy should be tied to OSB 1-20. IMO.
Corner rocker buttons are free to use, which would give you 16 more functions that can be freely assigned.
Any second purchase of MFDs would allow you full use of all buttons, which would be a total of 56 more places to assign functions.
Falcon has a way of overfilling any HOTAS capacity.

But to answer your question, they just have a paper graphic in the middle. As you know now, I label mine for the particular function. biggrin
Some guys do add an extracted live screen to it's purpose, using a couple of different methods. Either by purchasing a small screen and placing the MFD on it, or using a
second monitor, downsizing the live extracted MFD screen to it and then attaching the MFD to it.
I don't like these Idea though, because you are still left with the MFDs in your pit but they would have little use, as far as the graphic goes.
The last thing I need is 2 representations of the same graphic to totally confuse me. I don't think it would be good for me. nope
The plus would be having a larger display to visually examine. I do like that part of the idea. We used to have a view called 'ghost mfd's' that would bring up an oversized view, for temporary use.
Boy do I miss that. yep
I suppose I could zoom, but don't want to for some reason.

As you know, I took good use of the 'eject' mapping for my MFD, your advice is straight on bro. Especially for Korea Strong/IF. biggrin
