Truth to be told, I don't have it.
Rolling Fire, 36 Sqn from Osan.
Fragging an AirInterdiction just across frontline for some HARMCAP, like yeah standard procedure.
SA-2 lit up just below me and poff no more Oden.
Ok, lets try again - I did forget to map known threats so next attempt gives alot more SA.
Those SA-2 that I now know where they are doesn't wanna play so I guide my wingman north towards two red-blinkning SA-5's.
POFF, no more Odan.
What the he.. gotta check debrief and see what happened.
It turns out some Floggers sneaked up on us launching 4 Apex in total silence (seriously, shouldn't they fly one IR and one SARH as per standard Soviet doctrine?)
OK, I can blame myself sitting there looking at the HAD page like a blind muppet so I accept this failure too in shame.
Not doing good here.
I have the campaign saved with my intediction flight and all that so load it up and run 3rd attempt.
Yeah, no preplanned threats - guess I should have loaded the data cartridge before flight.
This time I go north just outside the SA-2 rings from memory and have this great idea of only flipping to HAD briefly to guide my wingman to both SA-5's using a swift "return to formation" as soon as I hear that Magnum call and then switching to SA-5 number 2 for a new wingman target assignment.
Keeping AA radar on to catch those Floggers this time.
Getting in range for those SA-5 I direct my wingman to one of them but she just keeps draggning time and no Magnum call, come on girl we might have silent MiG around us!
Soon I decide to launch one of my HARM's on SA-5 #2 (planned to keep them for those SA-2's we have close to the border and put her on air watch for me).
Shortly after my Magnum and when I stuggle to trim my 16 she calls her Magnum, well better than never.
Going AA and back south trying to trigger those SA-2's to go red while constantly looking for those MiG that just don't show up (now that's the power of dynamic campaign I'd say!) I soon decide to guide wingman to one yellow SA-2 while I pick another yellow one.
No hurry by all means but I am really nervous about red air.
The yellow 2's disappear and I call "Picture" with multiple bandits and nearest one 50 miles up northwest reported.
Trying to find them with no success but with plenty fuel left I keep orbiting in the area calling picture and failing to find the reported targets a few times.
Finally I get a few blips on my radar from up northwest and we have 8 amraams in total to play with.
Tagging one and designating for wingman I select the second nearby and launch Fox3 medium.
23 spike on RWR.
Ah, here they come - payback time!
BOOM
Cockpit is very very lit up from my burning candle style F-16.
Eject and feel the pain of getting owned.
They sure came at us at a very high speed, I almost hate the Floggers as much as I hate the SA-6.
So yeah, I do not have it.
My God.
