We're talking head shake! I can't turn it off!

I open the d3d8 config file. Change the value from 1 to 0. Save the file. Reopen the file and it reads zero.

But when I run WOFF, I still have head shaking!

I exit WOFF, reopen d3d8, and the value has somehow been changed back to 1! How? This has happened at least a half-dozen times.

Can I delete the entire set of head shake lines?

Thanks.

Okay! I deleted the entire line! Guess what? Still had head shake and when I checked the d3d8 file again, the line had been reinserted!

How is this happening?

There are multiple D3D8,ini files....

Are you changing the file D3D8.ini file at "C:\OBDSoftware\WOFF\WOFFScenery\Shaders\d3d8.ini" ?

Yep! My goof.

I searched the hard entire directory and found another d3d8 file. I was only changing the one in the main directory.

Thanks.

Nowi

PS Can I delete the file in the main directory? Why are there two of the same file in different spots?

Don't delete one in main directory as it is like a recovery file.

You might consider looking at the mods site.
There is a JSGME d3d8 mod that you could use and modify.
That way you don't have to make changes to the default files and it is then easy to swap the mod in and out as desired.

Robert, would like to know about your d3d8 mod adjustments.
You are talking about default values, is this the default without that Ankor's headshaking or is default, head shaking like it is in the (default) 4.17 version?
In other words I would like to delete the whole head shake that Ankor did introduce, should I set all to default as you did wrote down in your .ini file.

Dutch I PM'd you with a link to my dropbox where you can download a JSGME mod I created that turns off HeadShake.
