I was out and about in my Spit, carrying two, 250 pound, bombs. Plus the torpedo drop tank. I was going after a bridge, and like any self-respecting fighter pilot, I hit the button to get rid my drop tank. You don't dive into a target carrying petrol under your Spitfire. It just isn't done, old boy.
Well, when I pressed the button, EVERYTHING departed the airplanes wings. Tank, bombs, pylons!
Seems that there's a bit of a bug. Tank release jettisons all stores.
So, if you are carrying bombs and a tank, you'll have to take the tank with you into the bomb run, and then drop it later if you run into fighters, until they fix this.

On the other hand, when you drop them, you're getting ~50 mph boost in top speed (another bug), so running into fighters is not an issue anymore biggrin. Don't know if it happens with mixed loadout or bombs only, however.

Ah, yeah. I'd read that. Once you drop your ordnance the airplane doesn't seem to know that it's gone, and you don't regain your airspeed. Well, at this point I don't think we were expecting a trouble free release. It just comes with the territory.
