He sounds like a dragging cassette LOL
Though to be fair, you don’t go to a KISS concert for the singer’s awesome voice. He’s never been a Roger Daltrey, Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford, or Freddie Mercury.

This. It sounds like he's struggling to get the words out...and his voice is cooked. He wasn't too bad back in the 70's...he had the right voice for the band at the time.

He was a really good singer. He did play the role of Phantom, in Phantom of The Opera, in Toronto, years back. I mean, yeah, KISS was about the pyro and makeup, but after all these years, does it still have appeal ?
Personally I think they peaked with Alive!, an I do love that album.

I use to love KISS, then I turned 12, and heard Van Halen. lol...on the same page! I disagree though...I got Kiss Alive II in 77' when I was 9...my first double album...thought it was better than Alive 1. Had most of their albums up to that point. Then I got Van Halen II a year or more later...game changer for sure!

I can't understand how these older guys would even want to tour. They can't be making that much money off of these shows. There can't still be groupies. The after show parties are probably just pie and coffee at the local Bill Knapp's. I don't know LB4LB, the Fixx still does it. I've got 6th row tickets ($35.00) in August for the "Beach" tour ("Reach the Beach" 1983 album being played in its entirety) in a smaller performing arts theatre (seats only 325) where we see "Rocky Horror..." every October. EDIT: Post-concert pie and coffee sounds like a great idea!

Speaking of the 70s, when KISS was most active, I've always enjoyed the Scorpions more, and unlike KISS, the Scorpions continued to jam and kick ass into the 80s. KISS isn't bad, but like a piece of toast and jam, there's often something better like pecan waffles with syrup, bacon and grits.
