Bumping this thread
The Rendezvous will be here before you know it.

Planning is moving along.
Are there other forum members who are thinking of attending?
I would like to have a discussion of how we would present WOFF.
Looking for input from everyone.

James and I will be taking our systems. I will have my pit.
I also plan to have a 37" TV for showing videos on.
Need to develop a list of videos.

Considering having a rule 16 and older to use our systems.

Last time we were just doing some Air Start QC missions.
I was thinking we need to improve on that.

I live nearby, so I also plan to be there.

Besides, who could turn down a chance to talk and listen to such great storytellers such as Raine, Robert Wiggins, and anyone else who plans to attend!

(Interesting tidbit: my step-mother, when she was a small child, once shook the hand of Orville Wright! Her father helped to develop negative-g carburetors or fuel systems in post WWI aircraft).

Well, I've been hesitant to commit to it - I brought my brother-in-law and my oldest son along last year and felt like I didn't contribute like I could have. Great time, it was wonderful meeting you all, but face it, they aren't into it like this company of the barmy, and I'm thinking about coming solo if possible. I've really been out of the loop, though, and we've been knutz busy at work - I've got over 1/3 of my usual yearly earnings in these first 3 months... Maybe, just maybe, I'll get in the air over this weekend, but of course it's Easter (which is really special to me) and I need to change the oil in both vehicles, the mowers, all that - but wow... to hang about unfettered with y'all would be great. The dinner was something.

(wanders off scratching chin wistfilly...)

Hi,

Is anyone else planning / thinking about bringing any equipment, either to be use to fly WOFF or to show Videos?

Jame's and I will have our WOFF systems.
I will have a 37" TV and notebook to show videos on.

Figuring out space requirements.

Thanks.

I am afraid this Rendezvous is out of my range :-(.
However, I will be with you, guys, although only mentally. Keep us in touch.

I still plan going to Dayton! I've had some minor surgery which has delayed hobby stuff. I still hope to fly something RC related there, though. I put some of my models on the SimHQ 'RC and Scale Models' forum if interested.

Stache;

I have a question regarding registration.
Do you know if denise Bollingerf or Ken O'Brien are able to accept registration by fax or e-mail with (signed forms attached); and accept Banquet payment by VISA over the phone.

Best Regards

Hi Robert,

Pretty sure they will accept email with Scanned Signed Images of the forms.
(Send them to Denise)

Do not know about VISA - you could check with Denise, I am hedging toward probably not.

If you need me to write a check and mail it let me know.

Mike

Robert and gang,

I corresponded with Denise. You can scan and email your registration. Also, the deadline for registration and submitting your cheque / money order (for us Canucks) for the dinner has been put off to July 30. They can't take Visa. As Denise put it, they're in dinosaur mode, so it's a matter of sending money by snail mail.

Stache, Raine, .....

I have sent off my registration by email to denise, indicating that I will send off originals by postal mail along with my bank money order for the banquet night. I requested confirmation of receipt so I hope everything goes well.

Best Regards

Alas! The 100th Anniversary and I cannot attend! My daughter, who has been quite punctual, is due to deliver her 3rd child and 1st boy that very weekend. My beloved and I deem it just to close for comfort. We have to be prepared at any hour to care for the granddaughters whilst Mom & Dad head for the hospital. Poor boy. 3 "mommies"... I told my son-in-law he has a heavy responsibility to help the poor boy escape!

Well, next year is 101... and Lord willing, there will be a 111... I really enjoyed the last one and was planning on coming by myself so I could spend more time with y'all. But when I asked my dear beloved about it, she said, "well, the baby is due that weekend..." And so my plans quickly went down in flames, spin, crash and burn!

But I will be there in spirit and I know Mike & the rest of you will do a wonderful job of WOFF-UE Evangelism!
