Thanks Master I was reading at the forums there and found there's 2 extra planes with it...for my level of flying think I'll just get the standard version 8 planes is enough for me You can always get the other aircraft later, they go on sale often too

Which one are you picking up? Don't know what your experience is going to be, but I got tired of the Stalingrad map, pretty quickly. I find the Moscow map more interesting. It's a lot of brown, because it's Autumn, but a very talented modder made summer textures for it that are amazing. I seldom fly the Stalingrad map, anymore. And just in case you aren't aware of it, all of the maps are available to you online whether you own that particular module or not.

Pooch Getting the deluxe version..Might as well grab two extra planes..8 in the basic edition seem enough but my friend said go for the higher.Been waiting on a sale and the price is too good to pass..about the same as a case of beer and I'll have this longer .I have BAT and CLOD..One map doesn't bother me I find most folks fly a bit and right away look for something new ,,Me I tend to fully use a map to its fullest...If I get bored I switch games...Wonder if WW II pilots got bored flying over the same terrains..I'll find maps and mods probably at SAS Mostly getting it to fly with a M8 on-line..Checked SAS and see there's a mission generator in beta..

No, what I mean is, which module did you decide on? Battle of Stalingrad, Moscow, or Kuban?

Yeah, I agree. Battle for Moscow has better planes and a nicer map. And, as I said, a modder made some beautiful summer textures for it.

And if you're a Spitfire fan (which I very much am) grab that Spit Mk 5. It's a lot fun. The P-40 is a great model, too, but it's a real handful.

109's? Geez, well, along with Bodenplatte the BOX series has almost every damn BF109 ever designed except the prototype. I forgot that you're dealing with Steam. So you won't find the Spit Mk 5, there. Only on the IL2 site. But Steam does have the P-40, if you want it. That's where I bought mine. It's a premium plane sold seperately from the rest of the modules. It doesn't matter which version of the game you bought, you can still own the P-40.

Oh Hell, yeah! Barreling down the coral runway at Vella Lavella in a bent wing widowmaker, and heading off to do battle with Zekes over Rabaul. Combat Sim heaven, baby. Sadly, no one is developing anything like that.
