Last LP I bought was the Division Bell 20th anniversary collectors edition with LP CD and Bluray of the album
Hi Alicatt,
I have the original release on CD, but this 20th anniversary version past me by without my noticing. (Will have to keep an eye out. Fingers crossed)

The Songs of Distant Earth - Mike Oldfield. Enjoyable background music while working.
Some great albums you guys are listening too and inspired me to blow the dust of a few that I've neglected lately and time to reacquaint myself.
I'm back home in Scotland now and have a decent record deck and amp it maybe old but it plays well. I don't have any of my own albums here and my late uncle's taste in music is not mine
The system is:
Rodgers deck with SME 2000 arm and Shure cartridge to a Sansui AU 555 amp and Mission Audio speakers, it acquired a Marantz CD player just before my uncle passed away
Now to look through 5 or 6 boxes of albums to see if there is anything other than Jim Reeves

Thanks Mark, it is on the whole ancient, the amp and deck date from around 1968 the speakers and CD player are newer it still sounds great after all these years
looks like I need to dust it a bit too

Haha. Nice try Blade. I know you can’t be THAT young.

Look for me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or Tic Toc...or anywhere you may frequent, besides SimHq, on the Global Scam Net. Aka, the internet. I am not there, never have been or ever will be, but the fruitless search may be more gratifying then the "content" you might otherwise be exposed to.

Nixer, George Benson's Breezin' was the very first CD I ever purchased (in 1990 I believe, for my new Sony CD player in my '89 CRX Si), followed by Rush's Moving Pictures and Steely Dan's Aja.
I really wanted to add a CD head unit when I bought the car (new), but instead I waited for CD players to drop to $200.00. One thing about the late-80's/early-90's I remember so well, the price of electronics (including PCs) were dropping crazy fast.

My very first CD purchase was “Abbey Road” by the Beatles. It was either 1989 or 1990 when I bought it.
I still have it too and it’s in good condition.

How do you know you are old and totally out of touch with the modern consumer?
You listen to complete albums and you also know what an “album” means.
