For those in the USA, please take some time this Memorial Day to remember those who earned the holiday (and so much more we are blessed enough to enjoy)...

...but please wait until November to honor those veterans you can still thank in person...I am absolutely certain they'll understand smile

I was privileged to wear the uniform for nearly 10 years. I've been out now far longer than I was in, and the dress blues still hang in my closet after all these years.

When my service was done, though it felt kind of sad to finally do so, I was able to take off my uniform one last time. Today, let's remember those who will wear theirs forever.

Duke, I offer my sincere and abject apologies for any confusion..."dress blues" are also what the Navy's Service Dress uniforms are called. Perhaps I should have used the more familiar term "Cracker Jacks" smile

Luckily I like the Navy just fine too. Always took good care of us.

Hate to bring this up, but the Army had/has Dress Blues. But that being said your point is well taken kksnowbear it is a distinction that is commonly overlooked, and that annoys me. I also had ten years active duty in the Army, to include Viet Nam.
