https://www.pcgamer.com/game-critic...cebook&utm_campaign=buffer_pcgamerfbI realize many don’t know who he is, but he’s a fairly prominent game reviewer on youtube as well as being a good one. 33 years old. A member of the gaming community at large, so I thought it was relevant. He was a good example on youtube, not the obnoxious cursing, immature junk so many put out, but a good critic of games, Steam and also youtube itself.

From what little reading I've done the past few minutes, it was colon cancer that had metastasized to his liver (although his colon had been cleared). I know some here will agree, they should lower the recommended age of colon cancer screening from 50 to at least 40 for the general population, even sooner if there's family history of it (and I believe there was in this case).
I read a TotalBiscuit quote to get checked if you have symptoms (didn't say what his were, if any), but how many of us will actually do this? I'm good with regular checkups and screenings (as recommended for my age), but in-between I have to be really hurting or scared before I seek medical attention. More often that not, a nagging problem will eventually go away on its own, else I wait for my next checkup before bringing it up. I can't be running to the doc every time I feel something weird going on.
That's where screening comes in, even if you don't think there's a problem there may be one, and hopefully they find it early enough before it becomes a *serious* problem. In one quote by TotalBiscuit, he believed that although the cancer in his colon was eliminated, it was already too late.
RIP.

Thirty three is just way to damn young. There has been a very steep increase in colon cancer in younger people. My nephew was diagnosed at 23. He must have had a very aggressive disease. Maybe his was a genetic thing. I remember some of his work. seemed like a decent guy. Cancer is an evil SOB.

Didn't know he was that young; I thought he was at least 10 years older. A great loss; I greatly valued his WTF Is... series in determining whether to buy a game or not. RIP.

Wow. Not to redirect the thread abut after my stroke last year at 45- heart defect that usually goes undetected for a person's entire normal lifespan- it's a sobering thing to read about people who weren't as fortunate as I was when I hit the unlucky lottery, and younger. It's a tough thing to remember but I always have to bear in mind that my slow recovery and weirdo mystery body problems is not the worst thing that can happen to a person. Always make sure the people you care about know it; every day we wake up is another victory and we won't always win.
What kind of car is that? What does it matter? When I drive it, I'm Steve McQueen
