We must have the same tastes,I watched this just a few days ago. It was always a favourite when I was a lad. I think the ladies had something to do with that.

I remember watching it on the TV in the kitchen on Saturday nights when I was around 10, my mother would be watching something in the living room and closed the door so we didn’t bother her. The cable box was on my lap so I could quickly change it to something she'd approve of when I heard the door opening LOL
I searched forever for the funniest scene I remember, but couldn’t find it. Benny and another escapee (Bob Todd?) were running through the woods and came up to a rope snare lying on the trail. Benny steps back, gets a running start, and leaps over it, only to fall into a camouflaged pit dug on the other side LOL. Man, I think the only other shows that cracked me up as much as Benny Hill were Our Gang/Little Rascals.

I remember as a kid in middle school, all the guys at the lunch table would be all a buzz about seeing boobs (for a very quick second) on the Benny Hill show the night before.
There still is a video on You-Tube that shows the most notorious episode.
I remember watching Prisoner Cell Block H right after.

The world seemed to make sense in those clips. Cause and effect. Live and learn. Then run away.

Stayed up late many a night just to watch his show. The maid in the first skit serving dinner was Jane Leeves. She is much better know for having played Daphne on Frasier. Wheels
