The WSR module for Trainsim World (DTG) was just released on Steam today. I've managed to complete the provided tutorials and one session so far. As a side note, if you are like me and need a refresher on car coupling and turntables, you might consider the tutorials in the CSX Heavy Haul module.
The modelling of the locomotives provided in the WSR module, the Class 47 and the Class 09 "Gronk" shunter, is superb. The heritage line route, from what I've seen of it, is very nicely rendered with a lot of eye catching detail. Can see myself spending a lot more time with this module. For what it's worth, my early impression is very positive. As to the physics changes for diesel-electrics the operations of the locos seems appropriate, but as I am not an experienced train engineer/driver in real life I can't definitively comment. Thumbs up to DTG.
Is this module worth getting? I'd say yes, based on what I've seen so far, but as with any simulation YMMV.
Kind regards,
Dave S.
