Apparently the Master wrote quite a few stories for the Scouting magazine "Boy's Life".

Googling "boys life archive" will reveal some of the stories, at least. Some of the Boy's life stories have been reprinted elsewhere, but I found one, maybe two that I hadn't read before.

It's a PITA to arrange the whole story, as one has to scroll through pages of a particular issue (hopefully the one where the story starts), and then find where the story jumps to in that issue. Then on to the next issue, and repeat. Seems like most stories have multiple jumps within a single issue of the mag, and go for about 3 sequential issues.

I suggest starting a folder with story title, then adding to it with sequentially numbered links to the sequential pages (in the mag) of a given story, as one come on them within the issue(s) of the magazine.

A bit of a bother, but some seldom-seen stories there.

Good luck!

I remember reading parts of “Between Planets” there in what must have been the late 70s or early 80s. “Tripods,” too.

I admit I've not read any of Heinlein's work. Plenty of Asimov, Herbert and Clarke though. smile

He wrote some good stuff. Worth checking out. His late novels seem to have a strong slant towards extended shower scenes, but even that is not necessarily an argument to put them away.

Most, possibly all, of the authors you mentioned also wrote stories for "Boy's Life" magazine. IIRC Clarke wrote a story called "Sunracer" about a guy who built a solo solar-sail driven race pod, and his adventures. Beautiful artwork in the magazine.

Panzermeyer, if you were to venture into some Heinlein reading, there of course quite a few of his novels that are considered classics, but I would recommend "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" as a good place to start.

The issue is not p*ssy. The issue is monkey.
