Our recon section of six was poised on a hill looking out over a Valley when the Hafetrack took heavy machine gun fire the a few 20mm rounds from the farm area across the way. 1st Section lost 2 men by the time we got Arty fire going. We were supported by the worst shots on in the Division. The fire was concertrated but in the wrong areas missing the supporting enemy aromor . We had to pull back.
