I seem to recall from past topics that a lot of us have game titles we purchased (maybe in the dreaded Steam sales) that have never been played but I was more interested in what titles you have played the most and therefore have got the best value from. * If you have non-Steam games that you know the hours played,by all means post it up*
Perhaps restrict it to 5 or less.
Killing Floor 898
Elite Dangerous 250 (not my total play time,I transferred my non-Steam game account to Steam a while ago-total play time is 577 hours)
War Thunder 75
Miscreated 69
Left 4 Dead and X-Com Enemy unknown 37
Quite a drop-off after Killing Floor, that game really had me hooked,I had unlocked everything. I racked up just 9 hours for the sequel. That was enough, proving that better graphics and sound don't always mean better game-play.
I fully expect Elite to take the number 1 slot sometime this year

,I transferred my non-Steam game account to Steam a while ago
I didn't know you could do this, how did you do it?
Aside from that: Arma 3 Tools - 654 (probably caused by me just having the dialog open all day) ArmA 3 - 545 Skyrim - 78 (although most of my play time is lost due to mostly playing before I got the Steam version) The Witness - 51 Crusader Kings 2 - 35 Just Cause 3 - 49 Dungeon Defenders - 36 (play this with my son when he visits :)) GTA4 - 36

Well you don't have to do much,I just entered my non-Steam account details into the Steam version (at the log-in for E:D),verified account details by e-mail and it just worked. I should point out that I had 2 versions of E:D,I bought the Steam version in a sale.I would say that you need a Steam version to do this. I just find it easier to have it on Steam.

Actually, 898 hours for a first person shooter is extremely impressive! I don't have anywhere near that much time on any single FPS title.

LOL that is 356.5 days.
There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB. The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed. There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

My MO for these types of open world games is to just play enough of the game to allow me to freely roam & do what I like, I just like to marvel at the environment & cause random chaos

So what's the story on this one? It wasn't your cup of tea or did you just start playing it?

I've got 5 hours in Fallout 4,I'll probably never touch it again. It looked great but the reality was I just couldn't get into it. I couldn't wait to get out of the shelter and start the 'real' game but the situation didn't improve,I just think my FPS days are over.
How I managed nearly 70 hours in Miscreated (my most recently played FPS) I don't know. Probably because I spent most of my time hiding from other players,so less stressful with very little combat. As has been pointed out many, many times here on SimHQ,tastes change as we get older.

Elite Dangerous 426 hrs on record That's highly suspect, I wonder if it counts leaving the launcher open? I don't have remotely that time in the game, although I do like it a lot now.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim 195 hrs on record plus the SE version 76 hrs = 271 hrs Probably half again that if you consider the console version.
Nexus: The Jupiter Incident 189 hrs on record
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon® Wildlands 184 hrs on record
Far Cry® 3 152 hrs on record
Star Trek Online 152 hrs on record
BATTLETECH 95 hrs on record...pretty good considering it just came out a few weeks ago. LOL
STAR WARS™ Empire at War: Gold Pack 94 hrs on record
Mad Max 84 hrs on record
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory 74 hrs on record...double that at least with the console version.

That figures. I like it, but I know I don't have that much time in it. LOL I wonder what time I've got in MWO? When I was into that for a couple of years, it wasn't on Steam.
not sure what is up with hours on some games, I know for instance that I have played Stalker more than 0.9 hrs, GTA4 more than 1.4 hrs and way more than 2.8 hrs on Fallout 3
Probably the king of game time hours for me are some of the Witcher games. My Witcher 3 is the GOG version but the game says I currently have 621 hours.(I'm not even finished yet!) I have no idea on the hours but I've played Witcher 2 almost three times and knowing how I play games,(I tend to be slower and sometimes compulsive with how I try to soak in a game environment an explore and comprehend as much of a game story as I can)I'm guessing I would have at least nearly 300 hours in that one.
According to Steam these are my highest hour games. Not all of these reflect however what I play the most if that makes any sense.
Skyrim(original) - 325 hours
Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain - 262 hours
War of the Vikings - 235 hours (I haven't played this in years but I did put a lot of time into it back in the day)
Empryion Galactic Survival - 225 hours (An early access game that I haven't played in awhile but one of the better EA games I've purchased)
Mad Max - 101 hours (Still not finished with this either!)
I've got tons of games though in the 50, 60, 70, 80 and 90 hour mark however and these I would say I play a lot of and get the most out of.
Dragon's Dogma - 99 hours M&B Warband - 94 hours Dishonored - 93 hours (Almost two playthroughs) Alien Isolation - 81 hours The Witcher 1 - 76 hours Subnautica - 82 horus Shadow of Mordor - 88 hours Assassin Creed games - many, many hours across multiple platforms L.A. Noir- 64 hours Mafia 2 - 54 hours Rise of the Tombraider - 60 hours.
On the consoles:
I'm on a second playthrough of Red Dead Redemption(can't wait for RDR2!)
The Last of Us - I have played three times. Once on the original PS3 and twice on the remastered PS4 version
Uncharted games - I have played through twice. Once on the originals and once on the remastered Ps4 version
The Order: 1886 - I have played twice. I don't care what others say, this little gem is a masterpiece as a whole and not to be missed.
ARMA 3 421 hrs War Thunder 286 hrs Wings Of Prey 116 hrs Warface 101 hrs COH 49 hrs
My Steam hrs played are HUGELY bloated. Very inaccurate. Recently I bought a game, Rfactor 2 I think, played it less than a half hr. When I went to ask for a refund, it showed I had played it for 3 hrs.
I'm not too far behind Panzer in some TW games and then ahead in others. Being retired since 2007 gives one a lot of hours for gaming.
All Total War Empire---------1087 hrs Napoleon------1001 hrs Shogun 2------6151 hrs (more than half of that playing Fall of the Samurai) Rome 2--------1500 hrs Attila------------1549 hrs Thrones----------122 hrs (I've been without internet since about 4 PM yesterday when an AT&T crew accidentally cut my cable. It just got fixed about 30 minutes ago, so I have at least another 10 hours that I guess didn't get recorded since I was playing off line)
That's 11,410 total
Shooter/open world
Fallout 4----600 Farcry 4-----533 Mad Max----523
Cheers

Where do i see that ? on steam its definetely GTA V mostly becouse of mods its always on top with 1200 hours, then xcom reboot and total war shogun 2
Are you still playing it or did you get bored with the game and give up? I ask because there's no way you can finish that entire game in 49 hours.
i'm pretty sure you can, i didnt even do missions but i cleaned two island and half the main land in 24hours...the only things left were the enemy bases defenses, wich was funny as hell since the base was ours but as they are locked by missions they kept attacking our planes and choppers lol.
Mine are a bit skewed - some of the games in top 5 have a bunch of play hours from my son.
Of the ones that are mine:
Star Ruler - 229 hrs - still the best space 4x game EVER Arma 3 - 160 hrs Gratuitous Space Battles - 137 hrs Elite Dangerous - 118 hrs Battletech - 101 hrs - again impressive since this game has only been out for 2 weeks. This one will blow the lid off all the rest.
If I was running Mechwarrior Online through Steam it would be #1 by far
Special "thank you" to Mace71 - he gifted me a steam key for Lord of the Rings Shadow of Mordor back in 2013 and it has been my son's favorite game for a long time

Chucky's post still has me curious so I checked to see which RPG I have the most time in and that would be Skyrim with 323 hours. This includes 2 playthroughs with the original game and one playthrough with the remastered version that came out last year.
