I know they aren't airplanes, but hey....they're models. Thought I'd show off my railroad before I sell it. I just don't run them anymore. Took over a year to build.

Thanks. It really was a lot of work, but I enjoyed every minute of it. Loved the detailing. I even painted the tracks to make them look rusted.

Thanks, again. The rocks and hills are all made with styrofoam and dry wall mud. I had a lot of the mud left over from turning my third garage into my "mancave." That's where the trains are. I broke up large pieces of the styrofoam and piled them up, then covered it all with big clumps of the dry wall paste...or mud..or whatever its called. When it dried I painted it it with acrylics. Honestly, it looks even better in person. In some places you can't tell that they aren't real rocks. I made the trees with twigs from my yard and some green scenery making foam that you can buy in most hobby stores. I scratch built that wooden trestle using basswood and balsa. I should have taken some better pictures of it.

Look for me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or Tic Toc...or anywhere you may frequent, besides SimHq, on the Global Scam Net. Aka, the internet. I am not there, never have been or ever will be, but the fruitless search may be more gratifying then the "content" you might otherwise be exposed to.

Thanks. I'll just post one more shot to show how I mounted the controls. They are made by a Japanese company. Kato. They make excellant n guage trains and accessories. Most of my locos were built by them and even the tracks.

Had a former resident that built a set-up almost exactly like the one you made. Would take my son over to visit him and he would fire up the trains. My son was around 3 the first time. He loved every minute of it and would always ask to go over and see it.
That's a marvellous layout - many hours of work involved. I wish I could even begin to do ground work like that.

UNDERSTEER - is when you hit the wall with the front wing. OVERSTEER - is when you hit the wall with the back wing. HORSEPOWER - is how fast you hit the wall. TORQUE - is how far you can take the wall with you.
That's great work, Pooch. I've dreamed of building an N scale shelf layout several times, maybe someday. The attention to detail you've put into that is fantastic.

"I have only two men out of my company and 20 out of some other company. We need support, but it is almost suicide to try to get it here as we are swept by machine gun fire and a constant barrage is on us. I have no one on my left and only a few on my right. I will hold." 1stLt. Clifton B. Cates, USMC in Belleau Wood, 19 July 1918
Very nice layout and scenery! I did some N-scale stuff back in the mid-70's when the theme was 'modular' layouts. It was good practice for table-top wargaming scenery making I'd like to get back into model trains....*looks at his unfinished basement*
