This thing is a bit of a beast... but I'm starting to like it...

Is it anything more than a re-skinned jet with different characters (Chinese instead of Russian) and a slightly different 3D model? Does it perform different compared to a standard Su-27? Can it do anything the Su-27 cannot? Just curious.

Might be time to make a Sino-Russian campaign.

I believe it performs the same as the Su 27, but has improved avionics and is able carry and launch the R 77 air to air missile

IT's the export version of the Flanker - Su-27SK
Export Su-27S single-seater. Exported to China in 1992-1996 and developed into Shenyang J-11.

I don't know it it has different engine thrust etc - it feels a bit more touchy and nimble than Su-27 but that may be just me not flying for a few months...
