Ah, Facebook.
The good of it is that I've reconnected with Army buddies and solidified relationships with folks I've met, particularly within aviation.
The bad is that I can't help but turn the snark up to 11 from time to time, as folks are so earnest and serious about stuff that I can't help it.
"Which is better, cats or dogs?" "I prefer cats, as one can easily skin and roast them on a stick, but then again dogs - if large enough - can be cut into steaks, made into stew, and their bones are large enough to get a decent broth from."
Plus dumb quizzes:
"The Internet Can't Seem To Solve This Problem!" 1+4=5 2+5=12 3+6=21 8+11=?
I responded with "19. No amount of incorrect answers preceding the question will ever make 8+11 anything but 19."
Don't even get me started on people who claim to have fathered or mothered cats and dogs. "Here's a picture of my child! What a cute furbaby!" "Lady, you've taken cosplay and the furry lifestyle waayyy too far. Stop having sex with animals!"

I'm still waiting for the day when you will hear young people say things like, "Oh my God, you're still using Facebook !". I can just imagine what strange new thing will take it's place.

Nope. Nineteen. It's a math equation. No amount of "context" will ever change that.

Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.

40 Add the total to the next line to get the next total and so on. Ends up with 40. It isn't a math equation, they're lines, not two sides of an equation. Just a math puzzle.
Facebook is typically an internet forum for noobs who don't want to interact, just be heard and accumulate "likes" to feel wise.

I am puzzled by those that don't get the puzzle. This stuff was in puzzle books when I was a teenager.

Your mom must dread it when you decide to post on her wall.

The only good thing about Facebook, for me, is that it's the only place I can read about my favorite cartoon character. Bloom County's, Opus the Penquin. I read Bloom County and then leave.

Bill the Cat was great too. That was a great strip.

Well, I was so happy to see him back after a 20 or so years hiatus, that I did this cartoon and posted it on Facebook. Hope I'm not hi jacking the thread!

What kind of car is that? What does it matter? When I drive it, I'm Steve McQueen

"Do you remember pear pimples for hairy fishnuts?" If you don't, you are NOT a Bloom County fan! Uh...sorry Dart. We're going astray, here, aren't we?
