I'm tracking that Zotac Mini 1080ti here in Austria on a local pricetracker, and it's not gone below 750 bucks yet.. ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Mini is $650 at Newegg today. I realize that may not be available to you. But, it is showing another slight step down in our area. I imagine that things will get cheaper. Given the oversupply of current generation Nvidia cards, sale prices may be very special by Black Friday (given that the new generation will be on the shelves).

NVIDIA Partners Clear GeForce 10 Series Inventory By Offering Promo Bundles, Price Cuts on Various Custom Graphics Cards
The entire lineup has received the promo which includes GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, GeForce GTX 1080, GeForce GTX 1070 Ti, GeForce GTX 1070, GeForce GTX 1060 and the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. It’s note worthy that since this is a region-specific marketing campaign right now which includes the UAE, UK, and Portugal, prices are based in either British Pound or AED.

Something is afoot...
Four 1080ti cards now below 750EUR on my comparison website, and those include triple-fan designs with factory overclock. They're going cheap on eBuyer.com and aria.co.uk at the moment too - £999 cards with watercooling going for £650-£700

I've finally caved in today. Got an ASUS ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080 Ti which seems to be one of the best board designs around. Coupled with an i7-8700K and two M.2 PCIe Solid State disks this will be a monster of a gaming machine Maybe prices could drop a further 50-100 bucks, but then I might have found myself out of stock on the really good stuff. This fit my budget and will run 4K at 60FPS for pretty much any game on the market today.
