I buy Blu-ray movies regularly, the last two were "Dunkirk" and "Darkest Hour". I also have quite a few Polish and Finnish Blu-rays on the 1920 war with the Soviets and the later Stalinist wars. Come to think of it I also bought a superb copy of "Soviet Storm", an 8-disk Russian produced account of the Great Patriotic War.
My tastes are obvious, I rarely if ever watch "entertainment" movies. I'm an arch-geek. Nothing wrong with that. Have both those you listed in 4k on Itunes, my cable box can`t keep up, they are old 1080p.

I have a wish list to which I constantly add and a bit of a binge purchaser; happy to wait for items to hit a particular price point before purchasing. I seldom buy DVD now, especially if there is a BD offering and normally any I do are from the bargain bin. I have a fairly eclectic taste in music and have often heard a brief snippet of a song and spent ages tracking down the artist and looking for some rare or obscure CD. My entire CD collection is ripped to my home server for all to enjoy around the house, but none of my DVD or BD. I guess there really is no reason for me to continue buying CDs because it is usually the digital ripped version that is listened most often, but seem rather reluctant to let go of having the physical media as my master/backup. The number of digital only purchases included in the entire music collection can be counted on one hand. 1. Last video purchase was 3 weeks ago, 3 films on BD and, unusual for me, a 1 TV series on DVD that was unavailable on BD. 2. Last audio purchase was 2 days ago when I placed an Amazon order and threw in 8 CDs from my list at the same time. If I don't add anything further to the list there's only another couple of hundred to go and the list will be complete!

My most recent dvd purchase: The Duellists My most recent bluray purchase: Barry Lyndon Looks like we have similar tastes.

anything i'd like to "keep" to rewatch/listen to again and again i buy the CD/DVD/bluray of. Purely because they only stay online as long as the contract with that particular streaming service lasts (or doesn't have due to "region" issues) .. or till the internet dies !

You can back up mp3’s on a hard or usb drive, cd or dvd as files and fit a lot on even a cd. Or burn as a regular cd. Most car stereos for the last 10 years read mp3’s on cd. Just an FYI.

Does it have much about the air war?
