I think the Jets will win the series, but VGK has been surprising people all year. Fluery is playing great, and I have never seen a team with that much puck luck. The hockey Gods have been kind to them, so far. I say the Jets in 6 games.

I say Tampa wins their series in 5 games.

Jets and Lighting series goes 7 games, with Jets taking the Cup.

I bet when TB scored their second last night there were many watching who said 'yep, normal service restored'. But these Caps are not like the Caps of recent playoff failures. I don't think this is the best team they've had. But they play hard.

As a Flyers fan it's always nearly impossible to root for a division rival, but this year I am making an exception. I want to see Ovechkin win a Cup.

I don't know if Tampa is playing that bad, or the Caps are playing that good. The road teams are having more success this playoff year than I can ever remember.

Looks like Fluery is channeling Bernie Parent out there. What a great game.

He sure stood on his head, be sure.

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

My condolences Bisher. I hope Manitoba is not holding you accountable. smile

Also, congrats to Sweden for their victory at the Worlds. The US played great, aside from the Sweden game where they were smoked. But the future looks better with every tournament for the Americans. Sweden deserved it in this one though.

Who isn't now wishing they'd wagered a tenner on the Knights back in September?

I see the Americans beat the Canadien's for the Bronze in the World's. Tough day for the hockey fans to our north. Blashil's coaching success does not transfer well to the NHL. I was surprised at the number of American players on the Jets team.

I still can't believe Vegas beat the Jets in 5 games. I see on Twitter a lot of people say it is all a fix put in by Gary Bettman. There was talk around here like that for a while when the Penguins were winning. I guess it's a love/hate thing with the Knights now.

500 to 1 odds on them winning it all at the beginning of the season. I here some betting houses are buying those markers back now that there is a chance. I guess one went on E-bay for $40,000.

Tin foil suit on

I wouldn't put it past Bettman. TV ratings would have worse if it was Jets vs ?? than what it will be with Knight vs ??. A bad call (one with blood) here or there like in the 1st period the other night can turn a game.

Can Ovie finally do it this year ? Game 7, Washington always provides the drama. I'm hoping he does it this year.

Wango, you watching any Memorial Cup?

Same here, as I said earlier. Some players transcend rivalries. I love to 'hate' so many of these great players that play for teams other than my own.

But putting that aside for a moment, it's hard not to root for this guy. He embodies so much of what is great about hockey. An all-world talent, who just happens to play for the Caps. I said earlier that it would be a shame if Ovechkin never got to play in the finals. This is the best chance he has had, and I'm firmly in the Caps corner now. Though this grace period expires when they either win it all or get eliminated biggrin

Yes I've been watching the memorial cup, really enjoy these games

I would like to see Ovechkin win the cup but when I watch the games I find myself cheering for Tampa

If Olvie and his team mates play like they did in game 6, they should win tonight. That was the most intense effort I think I have ever seen from a Caps team in a playoff game. They also need Holtby not to give up any "softies" tonight.

I wish I could get SportsNet here in the states. I would love to be able to watch the Memorial Cup.

Ovechkin is a great player, hits ,scores. Plus he has a personality and sense of humour. I'm no Cap's fan, but I like Ovie.

The Lightning failed to score since game 5. That's gotta hurt.

Happy to see the Caps go through. Hoping they can pull it off for two reasons.

One is Ovechkin deserves a Cup

Two is the Knights fans need to feel the heartbreak of coming oh-so-close. That turns them in to true Knights fans smile

A Cup in the first season is just too much, too soon, and they'd be spoiled for anything other than another Cup.
