Who you got ? First round should be a great one. I don't really care for the new division based seeding, some very strong teams will get knocked out earlier than the old conference style of seeding.

The year I was born.
The Leafs have never had a team this good (offensively) that I can remember, heading into the playoffs. Pat Burns and Pat Quinn's team relied heavily on goaltending, and defensive play from everyone.
Babcock relies heavily on Freddie Anderson, put there is a lot of firepower up front.

GO LEAFS GO !!

I'm also a '67 model.

Fan of another '67 team, the Flyers. Of course we get the Pens.

We haven't had to wait since '67, but I was 7 last time the Flyers won the Cup.

Best season we've had in a long time. Hoping it carries over in to the playoffs, but the Penguins are good.

Philly/Pittsburgh is going to be a great series. My guess it will come down to goaltending.

Go Jets!!!

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

Imagine NHL hockey with the level of fakery of soccer..ermm Futbol.

Sad thing is..it will get there.

Censored

Look for me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or Tic Toc...or anywhere you may frequent, besides SimHq, on the Global Scam Net. Aka, the internet.
I am not there, never have been or ever will be, but the fruitless search may be more gratifying then the "content" you might otherwise be exposed to.

There is lots of fakery in hockey already.

Fakery in football is on the decline as the player can get yellow carded. Two yellows in a game and you are out of the game and your team plays a 'man' short. Five yellows and are suspended for one game.

Yep, a lot of the fights are fake. The last game I went to had a team on team fight and you could tell they were just #%&*$# around and not actually fighting. Some were even laughing on the ice as the refs were breaking the fight up.

Still a better sport than soccer.

I disagree, and think it's worse than ever, and getting worser all the time smile

In 1967, my parents went to the final game in Toronto when they won the Stanley Cup, and my mother caught the puck.....she gave it to the kid sitting beside her.

No way...hockey players have to much honor in themselves to go that route. A few people try it but they get called out by the opposition, and their own team and stop it real quick.
The only ones that really push the fakery, is the European players who played junior hockey in Europe. The Europeans who come to Canada to play learn that, that kind of nonsense won't work.

Part of my playoff pool is based on Philly upsetting Pittsburgh. nope

There is usually at least one first round upset. probably picked the wrong one.

What did you guys think of the pre game theater of the Vegas Golden Knights game? Even though I thought it was a bit on the cheesy side, it is nice to see a new kind of fun atmosphere added to the game. The Kings sure did a good job of clogging up the neutral zone against them (at least for 2 periods). I think it will be the Jets vs. the Bruins in the Final. I think Boston takes it all, and Marchand will will get MVP (if he doesn't sucker punch, cup check, and slew foot half the players on the ice).
