Hello guys, I have had my new Warthog HOTAS for about 3 weeks now and I find it to be so-so. Some areas I would like to correct are:

1 - My stick does not go to the corners in Windows Controller panel. Rather than make some coded function that squares the circle, is there an easier fix for this. (I assume this in inherent to the gimbal gasket shape, ... why was it not made square?) Occasionally I need full aileron and full elevator, so if that is not available on a $410 HOTAS, I am a bit mystified?

2 - I know plenty of guys love the stiff feel of the stick for flying jets and its realistic feel. That is not a priority for me, and I want a much looser stick but one that still centers exactly. Is there an easy fix for that?

Thanks!

Internet
1 - Is inherent of 'ball joint" gimbal - equals movement/force in all directions.

Know "fix": buy a Baur, VKB, VPC base with CAM gimbal and separated axis, different profiles and springs. smile
EDIT - And use Warhog grip in that bases, is "pnp" in BRD/VPC, need an electronic/mechanic adapter for VKB.

2 - Add a 3rd part extension (available from various makers between 50 - 200 mm) make the movement more soft.
Sahaj offer different resistance springs too.

Thanks Sokol, that is perhaps the 3rd helpful response you have given to me in only a few days. Thanks for your time!

I don't think you can get both centering authority and a looser feel, can you? Looser feel means softer springs and softer springs means less centering authority.
