The result of temporary insanity, trying 6 P38s at once.
[Linked Image]

They sat from August last year till about 2 weeks ago waiting for me to paint the 5 piece crappy canopies for each one.
Here are some finally done

The other 3 need some touchup.
I swore I would paint canopies first from now on.

Here are some more recent and a couple of real oldies from 99.

If you made it this far, yes, I have way too much time on my hands, a side effect of being old. smile
Be advised, the dust is an add on, the models do not come so equipped.

That's a neat collection. Six kits on the go at once would send me over the edge though!

cheers

Very nice collection. 1/72 scale I assume? I just can't build models that small anymore, eyesight and peripheral neuropathy fingers don't allow it. 1/48 scale is nice, I prefer 1/32 scale but can't afford many of those.

F4UDash4 , 1/48th scale, 72nd is too small for me.

Thanks goon, I do not have the patience to turn out your level of quality so I just make lots of them and hope no one notices
the many imperfections.

The six at once was an error I will not repeat soon, I knocked it down to 4 this time,
Japanese Jill, 2 Franks and 1 Oscar on the table right now, hope to finish soon.
This Kate was done in 1999 and is still here:

I am on a P39 kick too, I have several done and 6 in line, here is a recent one:

I need to chop the cannon off, that particular P39 had none

Thanks for looking in.

I knew you had to have at least one P-39 in the mix.

It's so hard to sex those P-38's and they have a tendency to breed.

Great work on those models!

The 'Kate' is a 'fave' of mine! I have an RC version in limbo right now. It will have folding wings, retracts and flaps.

well done, a nice collection. I used to do 1/72nd for the Large models of Bombers ect and 1/48 scale for WWI, Fighters of WWII and Misc types Sea planes ect. Never did any 1/32nd but some day ?

ARUP, you are building an RC Kate? Show us when you can, OK?
Here are some more Rising Sun entries:

( Still have them all thanks to an extremely tolerant Wife.)

carrick58, thanks.

I skipped WWI planes, too much wiring but I do like the big bombers:

(She needs some touchup that I have not got to yet.)

I like the large WWII seaplanes but those available cost too much for me.
I do have a couple of Catalinas though, from awhile back, one still not built, one done a long time ago.

Thanks all for looking in.
