The result of temporary insanity, trying 6 P38s at once.


They sat from August last year till about 2 weeks ago waiting for me to paint the 5 piece crappy canopies for each one.

I swore I would paint canopies first from now on.

That's a neat collection. Six kits on the go at once would send me over the edge though!

Very nice collection. 1/72 scale I assume? I just can't build models that small anymore, eyesight and peripheral neuropathy fingers don't allow it. 1/48 scale is nice, I prefer 1/32 scale but can't afford many of those.

I knew you had to have at least one P-39 in the mix.

It's so hard to sex those P-38's and they have a tendency to breed.

The 'Kate' is a 'fave' of mine! I have an RC version in limbo right now. It will have folding wings, retracts and flaps.

well done, a nice collection. I used to do 1/72nd for the Large models of Bombers ect and 1/48 scale for WWI, Fighters of WWII and Misc types Sea planes ect. Never did any 1/32nd but some day ?

I like the large WWII seaplanes but those available cost too much for me.
I do have a couple of Catalinas though, from awhile back, one still not built, one done a long time ago.
